Role OverviewThe Transmission Regulatory Affairs Specialist Staff plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering high stakes, federal and state-regulated utility filings before FERC and state public utility commissions. This position combines deep regulatory know how with strong project leadership to guide cross functional teams through complex, deadline-driven proceedings that support cost recovery and earnings realization for AEP’s transmission business.

Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Transmission siting and outreach, Transmission project management or development, Federal and/or state regulatory filings, testimony coordination, discovery management
- Equivalent professional experience or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- Strong project leadership capability: planning, execution, risk management, and managing tight regulatory timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to synthesize complex issues for executive audiences
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools for tracking, data analysis, and schedule management
