Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Transplant or General Nephrologist to join the Nephrology Division, with a primary focus on clinical responsibilities. The successful transplant candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of Nephrology but will be expected to focus on transplant nephrology. The successful general nephrology candidate will have broader responsibilities related to electrolyte balance, nephrolithiasis, acute kidney injury and continuous renal replacement therapy, chronic kidney disease, and end stage renal disease.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will provide care on the primary Nephrology service, where the Nephrologist serves as the attending of record managing all aspects of patient care while teaching residents and fellows. Outpatient responsibilities include Nephrology clinic and management of hemodialysis (in-center and home) and peritoneal dialysis patients.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current or eligibility for license to practice as a physician in Minnesota
  • Completion of an ACGME, AOA or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited training in Residency training program in Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME, AOA or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited training in Fellowship training program in Nephrology
  • Board certification in Nephrology is required within 4 years of completing training
