Role OverviewCDR Maguire is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector for projects in Elk, Clearfield, and Centre counties within PennDOT District 2. The Transportation Construction Inspector is responsible for consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others in matters related to plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and the methods, practices, and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work.
What You Will Do
Prepare daily progress reports, maintain progress schedules, check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations, keep records of quantities and cost of materials used, prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims, and recommend payment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience, a high school diploma or post-secondary education, and a valid driver's license. Preferred certifications include BS Civil Engineering, NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction, and OSHA 10-Hour certification.

- NECEPT Bituminous field certification
- ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
- PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
- ECMS experience
- OSHA 10-Hour certification
