Role OverviewCDR Maguire is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector for projects in Elk, Clearfield, and Centre counties within PennDOT District 2. The Transportation Construction Inspector is responsible for consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others in matters related to plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and the methods, practices and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work.
What You Will Do
Prepare daily progress reports, maintain progress schedules, check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations, keep records of quantities and cost of materials used, and prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience, or be a recent engineer graduate interested in Construction Inspection. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computations.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
- Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience
- Valid driver's license
- NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
- NECEPT Bituminous field certification
- ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
- PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
- ECMS experience
- OSHA 10-Hour certification
