Role Overview

The Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor is responsible for consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, and others in matters related to construction and installation of work. They prepare daily progress reports, maintain progress schedules, and ensure compliance with contract documents.

What You Will Do

The TCIS will check delivered materials, verify contractor's layout, prepare and submit daily reports, and follow instructions. They will also travel as required and provide a positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education, and certifications in civil engineering, transportation/highway construction, and other relevant fields. They must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math computations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
  • BS Civil Engineering
  • NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
  • NECEPT Bituminous field certification
  • ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
  • PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
  • ECMS experience
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification
