Role Overview

The Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor is responsible for consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, and others in matters related to construction and installation of work. The TCIS prepares daily progress reports and maintains progress schedules.

What You Will Do

The TCIS ensures compliance with contract documents, checks delivered materials, and prepares daily reports of work performed. Effective oral and written communication, ability to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand, and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or post secondary education
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computations
  • BS Civil Engineering
  • NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
  • NECEPT Bituminous field certification
  • ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
  • PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
  • ECMS experience
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification
