Role OverviewOur Driver will ensure the safe transportation of our residents to and from various destinations, assisting them with safe onboarding and offboarding as necessary. The ideal candidate is friendly, patient, and committed to providing excellent service to seniors while ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism.
What You Will Do
Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation service for the residents to and from various human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and others.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs as needed; open and close doors; and load/unload walkers and wheelchairs as needed. Build positive relationships with residents, engaging in friendly conversation and providing support as needed during trips.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid state driver's license (a CDL license may be required per state or local regulations)
- Passenger endorsement (if required by state regulations)
- At least three (3) years of driving experience and a clean driving history
- At least one (1) year of previous experience driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Experience in operating large vehicles or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly, and patient demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with the utmost respect
