Job Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 to manage complex projects in Production. The successful candidate will generate and review detailed drawings, conduct reviews of highway and bridge construction plans, and perform field reviews to evaluate land features. The position involves working independently and as part of a team, with a focus on public service and achieving the agency's vision.

Requirements

  • Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
  • 12 months of experience as a Transportation Engineer 1
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training, or equivalent experience
  • Overtime eligibility based on FLSA Standards
  • One-year probationary period for bargaining unit new hires
