Role Overview

The Transportation Engineer V will provide expertise in training and user support for all civil engineering disciplines, including bridge, roadway design, construction, maintenance, and traffic technology for engineering applications and software. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in highway and bridge design, traffic engineering, or related areas, along with advanced proficiency in relevant software platforms.

Responsibilities include managing complex projects, mentoring junior engineering staff, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Performs highly advanced and complex transportation engineering work in bridge design and construction for the Information Technology Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS
  • 8 years engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Licensed Prof Engineer
