Role Overview

The Transportation Maint Tech I-II (Post) will perform routine transportation operations or maintenance support work, such as roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, and traffic control. The role requires a strong work ethic, ability to work outdoors, and a commitment to safety.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include assisting in identifying, repairing, and installing signs, delineators, and mailbox supports; providing support to local law enforcement officials at accident sites; and maintaining highways and rights-of-way. The role also involves operating light and heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance inspections, and completing various reports.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Commercial Class 'A' Driver's License with an 'N' Endorsement
  • No education required
  • 1 year experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience
