Transportation Maintenance II - Nights

The Transportation Mechanic II provides support by identifying repairs and/or replacement needs for RKT semi-trucks and trailers, assisting and/or performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring completion of repairs in accordance DOT regulations. This role is part of the Transportation team at Rural King, a leading farm and home store with over 130 locations across 13 states. What You Will Do

The Transportation Mechanic II will perform preventative maintenance schedules, install component and part upgrades, complete dry and wet service on equipment, diagnose electrical malfunctions, inspect and service trailer parts, maintain hub and axles, and ensure equipment meets U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.

You must also be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and have close visual acuity. The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00 per hour, with exact compensation determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of semi-truck mechanic experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
