Role OverviewJoin the TxDOT team as a Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II to work in the Bovina Maintenance Office. This role involves performing routine transportation operations or maintenance support work, including roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, and traffic control.
What You Will Do
Assist in identifying, repairing, and installing signs, delineators, and mailbox supports. Perform basic welding and use/move equipment/tools, materials, and products. Assist in providing support to local law enforcement officials and stranded motorists. Maintain highways and rights-of-way, perform roadway repairs, and erect and repair guard rails, highway markers, and signs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a valid driver's license and a Commercial Class 'A' Driver's License with an 'N' Endorsement. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of methods, procedures, equipment, and materials used in intermodal transportation engineering construction and maintenance work.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Commercial Class 'A' Driver's License with an 'N' Endorsement
- No experience required for TMT I
- 1 year experience for TMT II in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience
