Role OverviewJoin the TxDOT team as a Transportation Maintenance Tech I-III to work in the Littlefield Maintenance Office. This role involves performing routine transportation operations or maintenance support work, including roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, and traffic control.
What You Will Do
Assist in identifying, repairing, and installing signs, delineators, mailbox supports, and posts. Perform basic welding as needed. Assist in providing support to local law enforcement officials at accident sites and assist stranded motorists. Assist with traffic control, place and gather cones, warning signs, and barricades.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires some knowledge of methods, procedures, equipment, and materials used in intermodal transportation engineering construction and maintenance work. You will work in a team environment and be required to follow verbal and written instructions.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Commercial Class 'A' Driver's License with an 'N' Endorsement
- No education required
- 1 year experience for TMT II, 2 years experience for TMT III
