Role OverviewThe Transportation Maintenance Technician I or II will perform routine transportation operations or maintenance support work such as roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, traffic control, and helping the public during emergency situations. The role requires contact with private entities and follows standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include setting up temporary traffic control, maintaining drainage systems, repairing guardrails, and operating light and heavy equipment. The technician will also assist in inspecting traffic control devices and their placement at construction project sites.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license

- Safety Impact Certificate
- No education required
- 1 year of transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience
