Role OverviewThe Transportation Maintenance Technician I, II, or III will be responsible for maintaining over 800 lane miles, including major corridors on US 90 and IH 35. The technician will perform complex transportation operations or maintenance support work, such as contract maintenance, material and process inspection, and heavy equipment operation. The technician will work independently on assignments, but all unusual issues will be referred to the supervisor.
What You Will Do
The Transportation Maintenance Technician I, II, or III will perform duties such as traffic control, preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing, and minor repairs on equipment. The technician will also assist in inspecting traffic control devices, maintaining highways and rights-of-way, and performing roadway repairs. Additionally, the technician will operate heavy equipment, such as front-end loaders, tractor-trailer haul trucks, and large draglines.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Commercial Class 'A' Driver's License with an 'N' Endorsement
- 1 year of experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience (for Transportation Maintenance Technician II)
- 2 years of experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience (for Transportation Maintenance Technician III)
