Role Overview

Join our team of motivated professionals in beautiful Real County and help maintain the roadways for our citizens. Job duties will include a variety of work on the roadway, such as tree trimming, pothole repair, ditch and drainage maintenance, light and heavy equipment operation, roadway surface repairs and maintenance, responding to emergency weather and traffic events, repairing signs, and more.

What You Will Do

Perform routine transportation operations or maintenance support work such as roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, preventive and minor maintenance on equipment, traffic control, and helping the public during emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license at the time of application
  • Commercial Class "A" Driver's License with an "N" Endorsement or have obtained a CDL "A" License, within 180 calendar days from date of employment
  • No education required
  • Experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience
