Role Overview

The selected candidate will work closely with the Highway Management Administrator and various departments throughout the district, including Roadway Services, District Garage, and the Full-Service Maintenance Facilities in Lake, Geauga, and Cuyahoga Counties. Job duties include running reports, tracking data, filling in as TM in various locations, acting on behalf of the HMA, attending meetings, and corresponding with local municipalities, counties, and other districts.

What You Will Do

The Transportation Manager 3 will run reports and track data using various computer programs, fill in as TM in various locations, act on behalf of the HMA, attend meetings, and correspond with local municipalities, counties, and other districts.

This position requires management skills and experience in supervisory principles and techniques, as well as experience in equipment maintenance and repair, bridge maintenance and repair, route marking, highway maintenance, construction, or roadway construction materials testing and control.

Requirements

  • 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp in supervisory principles & techniques or management
  • 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in equipment maintenance & repair, bridge maintenance & repair, route marking, highway maintenance, construction, or roadway construction materials testing & control
  • Valid commercial driver license
  • Valid driver's license
