Role OverviewThe Transportation Monitor is a key member of the early learning team, responsible for creating a developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers. This position keeps children safe while they are being transported to and from People Incorporated's early childhood programs.
What You Will Do
Supervise children during transportation to ensure their safety and well-being at all times, assist children in safely boarding and exiting the vehicle, and verify that each child is properly secured using the appropriate child safety restraint, seat belt, or harness.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Ability to supervise children closely and keep them safe at all times
- Ability to properly secure children in car seats, booster seats, or seat belts
- Ability to follow safety rules, written procedures, and instructions
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with children, families, and staff
- Ability to assist children with entering and exiting vehicles
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification (training provided)
- Ability to meet all Massachusetts EEC background check and health requirements
