Role Overview

The Transportation Operations Technician I is responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • No education or experience required
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for the successful completion of original probation
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs individually, with assistance from 51-100 lbs
