Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (CTDOT), invites qualified agency employees to apply for the position of Transportation Rail Officer 2 for the Office of Rail Construction Unit at the Component Change Out Shop (CCO) in New Haven. In this role, you must be able and willing to perform work on bridges located over waterways as well as on rail tracks near live rail traffic. This position requires a valid driver's license, as travel in necessary to perform field work.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a professional or technical capacity in a railroad or railroad related organization.
  • One (1) year of the General Experience must have included responsibility for the planning and execution of large, complex rail transportation projects and/or programs.
  • College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
