Role Overview

The Travel Information Counselor I or II will perform routine or complex travel coordination and information services in a travel information center. The role involves extensive contact with the public, providing state-wide travel and navigation information to travelers, and performing operational activities within a travel information center.

What You Will Do

The Travel Information Counselor I or II will assist in making presentations to community and touring groups, assist in emergency situations, conduct travel information center building and grounds inspections, and provide state-wide travel coordination and information services.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of customer service, event coordination, travel consulting, tourism work, or related experience
  • Ability to pass a drug test prior to employment
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
