Traveling Construction Foreman

We're hiring a Construction Foreman in Dallas, TX. This position is fully remote. The Construction Foreman supervises and coordinates carpenters and laborers. Duties include interpreting blueprints, planning tasks, overseeing framework, fixture, and drywall installation, performing basic electrical, plumbing, and concrete work, ensuring quality and safety, training the crew, communicating progress to project managers, and maintaining a clean site.

What You Will Do

Lead, supervise, and coordinate a crew of carpenters and laborers on active job sites, read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, plan daily tasks, assign work, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope, construct and oversee the building of frameworks, oversee installation of structures and fixtures, direct and assist with drywall installation, finishing, and repairs, coordinate and perform basic electrical, plumbing, and concrete work as needed, ensure quality control, train, mentor, and develop crew members, enforce safety regulations, communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and other trades, track progress, materials, and labor needs, report updates to management, maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter with leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and construction methods
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews, delegate tasks, and manage job site workflow
• Working knowledge of drywall installation and finishing
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
• Experience with concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills
• Proficiency with carpentry tools, equipment, and construction machinery
• Solid math and measurement skills
• Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks when needed
• Trained and experienced in safely operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and skid steers
