Role OverviewThe Treasury Internship is a rotational opportunity for motivated students to get exposure to the different aspects of the Treasury department at Valero. This on-going internship opportunity provides a six-month assignment in each of the following areas within the department: Credit, Cash Management, and Finance & Investments.
What You Will Do
Assists with reconciling accounts, early drafts, preparing exposure reports, customer financial analysis, ratios and metrics, pulling and analyzing various credit reports, bank administration, account verifications, budgeting, compliance and reporting, outgoing payment processing, daily reconciliation and recording cash entries to SAP, recording of cash receipts in SAP, cash forecasting, investment and foreign exchange analysis, debt administration, compliance and reporting for the company, analysis and reporting of investments in Valero’s financial benefit plans.

This position is ideal for students who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong ability to work in person at the Valero Headquarters office, a few hours each day, and a willingness to work in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio during the internship.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
- Graduation date between May 2028 to December 2028
- Successful completion of Accounting I and Accounting II coursework
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer
- Ability to work 20+ hours during the spring and fall semesters
- Ability to work in person at the Valero Headquarters office a few hours each day between the hours of 7:30am - 5:00pm each day of the work week (Monday - Friday), preferred
