Role Overview

The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County is seeking a Trial Preparation Assistant to aid in all aspects of case preparation from intake to final disposition. The successful candidate will work in the Trial Division – General Crimes Bureau and assist in compiling, analyzing, and reproducing case documents for discovery compliance and case preparation.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, and reproducing case documents, preparing and filing documents, retrieving documents and records, and assisting in preparing hearing/trial exhibits & discovery for trial.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree or a high school diploma with four years of work experience, exceptional organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office, have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in community work or community centered activities
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a minimum of two years of driving experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Discretion and integrity to work on highly confidential investigations
