Role Overview

As a Truck Driver at XPO, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination, providing excellent service to customers, and loading/unloading freight. You will work a flexible schedule, including day, night, and weekend shifts, and be available to work up to 12-14 hours a day. You will be part of a highly integrated network of people, technology, and physical assets, and will be expected to communicate effectively in all situations.

What You Will Do

On a typical day, you will safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, load and unload freight, and provide excellent service to customers. You will also be responsible for generating sales leads and working with customers to resolve any issues. You will be required to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights, and to safely climb in and out of a tractor cab/trailer.

This role requires a valid Class A commercial driver's license, a safe driving record, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. You will be expected to communicate effectively in all situations, and to work well under pressure. You will also be required to pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license
  • Safe driving record and history
  • Currently possess or be willing to obtain hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of employment
  • Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years
  • Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical
