Role OverviewRyder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Edison, NJ, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. The role involves delivering freight to NJ, NY, and sometimes PA, CT, and requires experience with load securement, strapping, and hazmat endorsements. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable laws, detecting and eliminating safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs, loading/unloading freight, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
