Truck Driver

As a truck driver at CMC, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region. You will need to complete delivery paperwork, communicate with dispatch, sales, and customers, and follow all safety rules. You will also be responsible for conducting daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of the truck and cargo.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include delivering products safely and on time, inventorying and inspecting products, loading and securing cargo, and maintaining vehicle service and repair logs. You will also need to operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and safety dashcams, and perform loading tasks such as chaining, strapping, and tarping.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
• Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• No DUI/DWI within the past five years
• At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
• Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing
• No more than one moving violation in the past three years
• Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections
