Role OverviewThe Truck Driver, Medium Team Lead performs a variety of duties, including assigning and monitoring daily work assignments, transporting materials, and verifying materials against shipping/receiving documents.
What You Will Do
Drives gas/diesel powered trucks, transports materials to designated end users or storage locations, verifies materials, and reports discrepancies or obvious damage.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The incumbent may be asked to work a day, swing, and/or rotating shift, which may include weekends and holidays. Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Must have a valid driver's license and Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must have a good driving record
- Must have a minimum of eighteen months of experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, transportation, or related processes
- Must be able to use the WMS and automated distribution systems used at DLA
- Must be able to follow requirements of MIL-STD and DLA manuals or other directives as required
- Must be licensed and experienced in the use of MHE
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
