What You Will Do

Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, loaders, and other equipment to ensure reliable operation. Inspect machinery for leaks, wear, and potential issues, reporting findings to the shop lead. Document maintenance activities and inventory using a computer for accurate recordkeeping.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required; some college, technical training, or related experience is a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years old due to the work environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and Fit for Work physical.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for fleet safety program.
  • Professional, courteous attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Flexible schedule — willingness to work nights, weekends, overtime, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed.
  • Ability to travel to job sites using personal transportation and occasionally work away from home.
  • Strict adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements as mandated by OSHA/MSHA.
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, carry, bend, push, pull, reach, kneel, stoop, and twist, including moving objects weighing 50-70 lbs.
