Role OverviewThe Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for providing academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers.
What You Will Do
Generate tutoring plans, assess and document student progress, develop and assist with academic exercises, compile and organize materials, reinforce knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid, have experience working with children in an educational setting, and be able to provide instructional support and reinforcement to students identified in need of tutoring services.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree
- Two years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- One year of experience working with children in an educational setting
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
