Role OverviewThe Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for providing academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers.
What You Will Do
Generate tutoring plans, assess and document students, develop and assist students with academic exercises, compile and prepare materials for instruction, reinforce knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher, and provide instructional support.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid, and have one year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
