Role OverviewThe Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for providing academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers. This role is part-time and non-certified. The tutor will work at Central High School in Memphis, TN, and will be responsible for generating tutoring plans, assessing and documenting student progress, and providing instructional support and reinforcement to students.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of this role include generating tutoring plans, developing and assisting students with academic exercises and class activities, compiling and preparing materials and classroom for instruction, reinforcing knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher, and providing instructional support and reinforcement to students identified in need of tutoring services.

Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
