Job Description
Performs routine (entry-level) work involving advising and assisting veterans and eligible persons with the Department of Veterans Affairs claims process.

Requirements

  • Interview veterans and family members to record and assess benefits information to determine client eligibility.
  • Applies and interprets VA laws, including veterans’ case law, existing statutes and procedures, precedent rulings, and state law in the benefit eligibility process.
  • Prepares and files claims and appeals with supporting evidence for successful adjudication.
  • Advises and assists veterans and other eligible family members in obtaining benefits, rights, entitlements, and other supportive services.
