Job Description
The TxDMV - Associate General Counsel is a senior-level attorney position that performs advanced legal work in support of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. The attorney will research and render legal advice on a broad range of legal issues, including laws under the department's jurisdiction, state and federal laws, and administrative law. The position will also involve drafting administrative rules, pleadings, orders, and legal memoranda, as well as preparing other legal documents.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Five years professional legal experience with an emphasis in governmental or administrative law, or litigation
  • Licensure to practice law in the State of Texas and membership in good standing of the State Bar of Texas
