Role OverviewThis position performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to manage patient registration and patient financial obligation at University Health Associates East (UHAE). The role involves working in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interactions with patients, medical staff, and support staff.
What You Will Do
Obtain demographic, billing, and insurance information from patients and enter it into registration/billing systems. Collect deposits, co-payments, deductibles, and patient liability payments, and prepare consent forms and armbands for patient identification. Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients in accordance with hospital workflows and perform medical necessity checks.
