Role OverviewThe Maryland Department of Labor is accepting applications for a UI Professional III (BPC Fraud Investigator) to promote and maintain the integrity of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program. The position involves responding to inquiries, gathering and analyzing information, maintaining claimant account information, and conducting investigations to detect improper payments and fraud.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include responding to telephone and email inquiries, gathering and analyzing information, maintaining claimant account information, researching and answering claimant questions, obtaining and recording earnings and employment information, examining claim history, conducting bulk processing claims, analyzing reports, and presenting UI information offsite.

Requirements
- Six years of experience in a public or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in a public or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs
- Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience
