Role OverviewUnder the direction of a radiologist or physician, the Ultrasound Technologist performs general examinations using diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes and interventional procedures.
What You Will Do
Perform sonographic examinations on patients, instruct patients, assemble patient information and images, and maintain equipment and examination rooms.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires knowledge of RIS systems, PAC's systems, and certification by RDMS, RVT, or ARRT (S).
Requirements
- Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification
- Certification by either RDMS, RVT or ARRT (S)
- Active BLS Certification
- 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred
