Role OverviewThe UN Seasonal Leaf Sweep Driver is responsible for servicing assigned routes for sweeping and clearing pathways, representing the company in a safe and respectful manner. The driver will communicate regularly with dispatchers and supervisors, and will work in all weather conditions.
What You Will Do
The driver will sweep streets, parking lots, and alleys, complete assigned routes, communicate with dispatch, and maintain and update route sheets and driver's log. The driver will also perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have previous CDL truck driving experience, waste industry experience, and good written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to read and understand a map, and perform physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertions.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL
- Valid DOT medical card
- No DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
- No license suspensions within the last 2 years
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Ability to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
