Role OverviewThe Unarmed Security Guard (UG) is responsible for protecting client premises, assets, personnel, and maintaining a safe and secure environment. The UG provides basic site monitoring, perimeter survey, public information assistance, and emergency notification and assistance.
What You Will Do
Day-to-day responsibilities include providing basic site monitoring, perimeter survey, public information assistance, holding a single post, and emergency notification and assistance. The UG must also ensure no unauthorized persons are in the building and observe activities of individuals in the building to ensure that building rules and regulations are observed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security guard service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of security guard service experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Maryland Guard Card
- Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Physically and mentally capable of performing duties as required
- Good health and able to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to run and climb stairs, and free of any hearing impairment
- Vision corrected to 20/20 in one eye and 20/30 in the other
- Ability to effectively communicate, read, write, and understand instructions in English
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
