Role Overview

Join Ascot Group, a specialty risk underwriting organization, as an Underwriter on the Private and Non-Profit team. You will be responsible for profitably growing our management liability book. The role involves analyzing financial statements, evaluating exposures, and developing relationships with brokers and clients. What You Will Do

Underwrite new and renewal Management Liability business, analyze financial statements, and evaluate exposures. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, negotiate pricing, and monitor portfolio profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of Management Liability or Financial Lines underwriting or broker experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with all internal and external business partners
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions
  • High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills
  • Wholesale broker experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, buildout environment
  • Commitment to underwrite profitably and providing stellar customer service
  • General understanding of, and ability to analyze internal and audited Financial Statements
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
