RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead budget and renewal analyses, including the development of client-ready financial models and pricing scenarios for health coverage changes using experience or manual rating tools.
Provide actionable insights, recommendations, and support to consultants in presenting financial data, plan options, and renewal strategies to clients.
Create, update, and maintain underwriting, rating, and contribution models; provide overviews and training to Alera colleagues as needed.
Collaborate in obtaining and interpreting new carrier product information to support accurate pricing and development of client renewals.
Assist in analyzing carrier and vendor marketing responses to support strategic decision-making during renewal and marketing efforts.
Conduct peer reviews of client deliverables prepared by underwriting team members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Act as a liaison to the Actuarial Center of Excellence and contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Hold active State Life & Health Licenses with strong technical expertise in employee benefits, including strategic and tactical understanding of client needs.
Possess advanced knowledge of financial arrangements and underwriting principles for health programs.
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Exhibit excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally; adept at presenting complex information.
Work independently and collaboratively in team environments; maintain a positive, approachable, and professional demeanor.
Show a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development; able to attend in-person regional meetings as required.

Salary range is $80K to 120K per year.
