Role OverviewThe Underwriting Intern will learn about workers’ compensation insurance and the fundamentals of the underwriting function, utilizing training, underwriting guidelines, and predictive analytics tools to evaluate and service policies, answer customer questions, and build relationships with policyholders and agent partners.
What You Will Do
Gather, evaluate, and organize underwriting data, assess accounts, determine pricing and underwriting conditions, review and process policy renewals, and provide timely communication to customers.

Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Highly motivated individual
- Ability to use information technology, data, and other resources to identify solutions and innovations
- Strong desire and curiosity to learn the insurance business
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
