Role OverviewAs the Manager of Underwriting, you will lead and optimize underwriting operations, manage diverse teams, drive training initiatives, oversee workflow, and ensure timely deliverables. This role is 100% on-site and not eligible for remote work.

Your responsibilities will include team leadership and management, policy processing and workflow management, and strategic contribution to business controls and cost reduction.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing an underwriting project of similar size and scope
- Minimum 5 years of experience underwriting flood insurance policies
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience
- 5+ years of customer service and/or policy processing experience
- CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) certification or Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI) designation preferred (or required, if applicable)
- Advanced knowledge of NFIP flood insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with auditing, quality assurance, and process development
- Strong program and project management skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong working relationships
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing regulatory requirements
