Role OverviewThe Unit Lead is responsible for unit/plant operations, ensuring adherence to established timing, quality, and cost standards, as well as personnel management. Oversees plant operations, including QHSE requirements and personnel management. Plans, staffs, organizes, and supervises personnel. Manages personnel administrative tasks and disciplinary measures. Ensures the proper functioning of facilities and the attainment of production goals set by plant management. Facilitates training on production processes and optimizations. Provides orientation for new hires. Resolves production disturbances. Communicates and shares information within the unit and with key interfaces regarding production goals and facility changes. Documents current production processes versus standard production requirements. Maintains housekeeping of the workplace.
What You Will Do
Foster collaboration in a flat network of autonomous entrepreneurial teams called squads; Support Unit and Squad's focus on mission to deliver beneficial outcomes for all team members, customers, and stakeholders; Add value by supporting the Unit/Squad development and delivering the best product & customer experience; Drive a culture of innovation by encouraging teams to generate, evaluate, and rapidly implement creative ideas; Enable squads to run daily production activities, execute daily production schedule, and deliver the best product & customer experience; Be an escalation point for tasks and projects prioritization, problem solving continuous improvement, conflict resolution, displaying VACC behaviors and prioritizing the squad's self-organization first; Optimize squad members' performance, development, and empowerment through DSO principles. Promote onePSS activities by collaborating with partners/experts outside of the Unit; Collaborate with internal & external networks to ensure that the unit is receiving the support/resources they need to be successful; Promotes fluid talent and resource unitization within the Unit, being outcome oriented; Ensure Unit compliance while empowering the squads as much as possible; Models VACC behaviors; Facilitating, the co-creation of a shared vision and higher purpose that resonate with customers (V)-designing, evolving and integrating the way we work, (A); Acting as an active multiple of change, removing obstacles and connecting different parts of the system.
