Role OverviewThe Inova Healthplex in Ashburn is a free standing Emergency Department seeking a RN Unit Supervisor for Full Time Nights (7PM-7AM) with weekend rotation. This unit is a division of Inova Loudoun hospital, offering an autonomous work environment. The Healthplex has been awarded the ENA Lantern Award for Nursing Excellence and is Acute Stroke Ready Certified.
What You Will Do
As a front line leader, you will be accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit. You will support unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures, lead by example in delivering Service Always, and ensure patient-centered care. You will also pursue activities to ensure smooth clinical operations and compliance with Inova's goals of safe, equitable, and effective care.

Requirements
- Requires at least one year of Registered Nurse Clinical experience
- Associate Degree RNs within one year of completing their BSN
- Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days
- BLS required
- Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization; can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit
