Role OverviewThe Unit Support Associate functions under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor and/or Centralized Transport Manager to facilitate the safe and appropriate transportation of patients to and from the ED, Radiology, and Test/Procedure areas.
What You Will Do
Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning of transportation equipment, proper handling of IV and O2 equipment, assisting with ambulation, stocking of supplies, verification of patient identification, use of scripting with patients, assisting with patients to and from imaging tables, use of AIDET, adherence to all policies.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required*** and BLS certification from AHA
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Ability to read and speak the English language.
- Must demonstrate good communication skills and handwriting.
- Must display a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care;
- Ability to multi-task essential;
- Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential;
- Strong detail orientation required;
- Computer skills required;
- Personal time management skills are required.
