Role OverviewThe Urban Forester is responsible for enforcing the City of Conroe's tree ordinances and tree care policies, performing field inventory, analyzing data, and compiling reports. They develop and implement plans, procedures, and policies for tree and shrub maintenance, and provide educational information to City staff and citizens.
What You Will Do
The Urban Forester will perform landscaping and tree preservation plan review, review clearing permits, inspect landscaping in the field, and prepare educational information on best practices for tree/shrub maintenance.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in urban forestry, forestry, arboriculture, or a related field, and two years of related experience. They will be skilled in using personal computers, have knowledge of modern office practices, and be certified as an ISA Certified Arborist or able to become certified within 24 months.
Requirements

- Valid class C Texas driver's license or higher
