Job Description
The Virtual Construction Detailer will model and coordinate Mechanical and Plumbing BIM models under the direction of the Lead Detailer and Regional Manager of Virtual Construction. The role requires proficiency with Revit software and building trades and codes, as well as the ability to analyze submittals, sketches, and other input material to determine the best approach to complete drawings.

Requirements

  • Work closely with Lead Detailers and Virtual Construction Project Manager
  • Model to build and coordinate 3D, intelligent models of projects
  • Create deliverable documents required within the scope of the project(s)
  • Coordinate models with all in-house trades under direction of Lead Detailer, as well as out of house project team
  • Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques
  • Analyze submittals, sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings
  • Apply judgement and make decisions that protect US Engineering with respect to drawings and input interpretation
  • Review work performed by the detailing team to determine accuracy
