Role OverviewHDR is seeking a Utility Coordinator I to assist with the identification, communication, and resolution of utility conflicts on Transportation/Roadway projects. This role involves managing Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, performing utility records research, and coordinating with utility companies and roadway engineers. The position is based in Houston, Texas, and requires travel of approximately 10%.
What You Will Do
You will assist with utility conflict tracking, prepare client deliverables such as utility exhibits and project guides, and perform QA/QC of utility company agreements and invoices. You will also support project managers in developing proposal elements, budget elements, and schedule elements, and maintain paper and electronic files.

Requirements
- Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering design plans
- Ability to read and understand utility installation and adjustment plans
- Strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills
