Role Overview

In the role of Utility EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you for Utility Coordination, Utility Research, Utility Investigation, Utility Conflict Resolution, Utility Design, Utility Plan Production, Utility Field Coordination, and Overall Project Team Coordination. You will work with the overall civil project team, project engineers, and project managers to meet client needs and objectives. You will also apply company/client quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project documents, time and budget management.

What You Will Do

Assist with coordination between the project team and utility owners, conduct associated meetings and development of meeting materials and documentation, perform utility records research, obtain existing mapping and plans, and prepare utility contact lists. You will also identify utility conflicts on civil engineering projects and communicate findings to the project team and utility owners.

We are looking for an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate holder with two years of related experience in the Transportation/Roadway/Utility industry. You should be proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, and have familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3d.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Two years of related experience in the Transportation/Roadway/Utility industry
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3d
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering design plans
  • Ability to read and understand utility installation and adjustment plans
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills
